This talk will offer a broad and accessible overview of the aviation world,covering the fundamentals of aircraft and flight, the role of pilots, and the many professionals involved behind every operation, including aircrew and ground support. It will trace key milestones in the history of aviation, with particular attention to Malta’s strategic and historical contribution to the sector and conclude by exploring the relationship between aviation and Rotary, including aviation‑related Rotary clubs and initiatives worldwide.
