On 6 May 2025, the Rotary Club La Valette hosted Professor Richard Rubenstein, who spoke on peacebuilding in today’s complex global landscape. Emphasising Rotary’s vital role, he highlighted international collaborations and urged support for Malta’s conflict resolution program—underscoring Rotary’s power to drive meaningful, grassroots change in global peace efforts.

Maltese Rotary clubs visit the beehives in Safi

On Monday 12th May, 2025, members from RC La Valette Malta, RC Malta and Rotaract Malta were hosted to a very interesting talk by beekeeper Perit Jorge Spiteri, on behalf of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Maltese Honey Bee at Gnien Sir Alexander Ball, Safi, where the beehives are kept. This is one of 8 gardens still extant, planted by the British in the early 19th century.

Fundraising Cocktail Party In Aid Of Sebh

President Godfrey Swain and his delightful wife Maryanne hosted the club at their home in Lija for a fundraising cocktail party. It was a great success in Rotary Friendship, and we raised EUR 2,500 for the club to support our EUR 10,000 contribution to Sebh.

Handover night was a milestone for the Rotary Club of La Valette, Malta. Seven new members received their Rotary International pins, while past President Anne Marie Bianchi, together with President Godfrey Swain, honoured dedicated members with Paul Harris Awards for their service. As the sun set, incoming President Clare Vassallo ushered in an exciting new Rotary year.
